What changed, and why.
The run you can win 1.0.0 (build 2) · 30 August 2026
Rogue21 now has an ending. Reach round 30, beat the final boss, and the
run is won. You are not forced to stop there — the victory screen lets you carry the
same deck into endless and find out how far the table lets you go.
Getting to round 30 meant rebuilding the power curve to match it:
- Joker rewards every third round. They used to appear only in rounds
3, 6 and 9 — three rewards in a whole run, after which your power was frozen while
the targets kept climbing. This was the biggest single cause of the mid-run wall.
- Four reward options instead of three.
- Your deck grows. Every boss you beat adds a joker slot, from 4 up to
7. Before, the deck filled by round 12 and later rewards could only swap.
- Two more bosses, at rounds 25 and 30. The Void is now the final
boss — copying a defeated boss only pays off once several have fallen.
- Late targets climb more gently. At the old rate, round 30 asked for
over 1.5 million points in a single round.
- The committed lines pay better. Cashing out at 20, an exact 21, a
blackjack and the five-card Charlie are all worth substantially more. Banking at
17-19 is unchanged, so playing safe is still a real trade-off.
Also new
- You can see how many cards are left. Running out of deck ends the
round, and it used to happen with no warning at all. A warning now fires at five.
- The tutorial no longer starts on its own — it is an option from the main menu.
- Redesigned main menu.
Fixed
- The layout on iPhone. Lanes and cards rendered at desktop size on a real device,
lane IV was clipped under the action bar, and content collided with the Dynamic
Island and the home indicator. Now verified on iPhone SE, 13 mini, 16, 16 Pro and
16 Pro Max.
- Cards fan out inside a fixed-width slot, so the cash-out button no longer shifts as a
lane fills, and a single card sits centred instead of against the left edge.
- Cards no longer draw over the pause menu, and pause no longer covers the boss cell.
- The screen no longer flickers when you place a card.
- Joker tags read as words (“CLUBS COMBO”) instead of internal ids.
